This week, will be tranquil along the Gulf Coast, while the next storm system pushes into the Western US with mountain snows, and coastal rains, looking at cooler temps to spread across the Plains this week, while a few lingering snow showers will impact the Great Lakes.

Good Morning,

A low pressure system developing over Eastern Texas will produce widespread showers across the MS River valley and into the Ohio River valley, a few severe storms will be possible over the next few days across the Gulf Coast and Southeast US.

A strong cold front will plunge into the Plains on Thursday making sleet and freezing rain combining with snow for portions of the Plains extending into the Ohio River valley, Winter Storm watches have been issued for this region. Elsewhere we are watching another winter storm for the 22-24th time period to impact the Plains again.

This week the big winter storm that is developing in the Rockies will push out and impact the Plains from Northern TX all the way into Southern SD and eastward along the MS River valley into the Western Lakes, heavy snowfall, rain, sleet and freezing rain will be possible with this storm, right now indications are for the heaviest precip band to setup from Eastern Kansas northeastward towards the Western Lakes. Good Morning,

Taking a look at the weather across the United States, we are watching a winter storm system impact the Rockies with heavy snow, along with Arctic air pushing in over the Plains, this will set the stage for this weekends potential winter storm over the Southeast US and parts of the Gulf Coast. We could be looking at  a wide swath of heavy snow from Northern MS through Northern Alabama and into the Carolina's along with a light snow band from Central MS to Central AL and towards Coastal Carolina''s, along with some freezing rain/sleet for the Gulf Coast region along the I-10 corridor.
